Objective
With an increasing reliance on freelance workers I found that my previous position within Coleridge Productions had become more of a solitary and technical one, in which I had been managing projects via telephone and email. Although this was challenging, I found that I missed the buzz and energy generated by working with a team of creative people. I am now looking to further my career and experience by working either freelance or as a full time employee on a variety of challenging projects, that will allow me to use the wide array of skills I have developed across a range of disciplines.

Key Technical Skills – Video
I am a highly creative person, able to plan, direct and edit a video production with flair and originality. I have a keen understanding of the technical aspects of video production, including differing standards and formats, encoding, broadcast specifications, DVD authoring and video streaming for the web.
Upon leaving university I was employed as a video editor, producing both TV and corporate material. I am highly experienced in the use of Avid editing systems as well as the Adobe suite of video software. I also have some light experience of Final Cut Pro.
Over the past 10 years my experience has extended beyond the edit suite and I have directed countless corporate video productions as well as a TV series for Carlton. I have also gained extensive experience in the operation of on-location sound and camera equipment.
Key Technical Skills – Web
Key web skills include a keen understanding of web and accessibility standards as well as extensive, hands on experience coding XHTML, CSS, ASP, PHP, SQL and XML. I have developed bespoke websites with integrated content systems in both ASP and PHP, as well as using established content management systems such as WordPress, CMSMS and Drupal (among others).
I have a firm belief that the web should be enjoyed by all and take great pride in developing accessible websites that are both attractive and easy to use for all users, including those using assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers).
